BBC Radio 4 or BBC Radio 4 Extra
« on: February 22, 2013, 05:36:33 PM »
Was just curious to see if anyone here listened to BBC Radio 4 or BBC Radio 4 Extra. They have many current radio dramas, comedies, and such, including long time radio soap "The Archers".

When I was a teacher I used to listen during free periods. There was some good stuff there. Been years though.

I have heard of the BBC stuff but I have yet to listen to any with the exception of a show with Benedict Cumberbatch that a member of the forum recommended. It had something to do with an airline crew and was very good from what I heard. I am not sure if that was BBC 4 though. I want to check out some of the stuff on cd, like the mystery shows they put on based off of Chandler and Hammet.

It was a syndicated show. The BBC didn't produce it.

I listen to BBC 4 quite a bit - but not for the drama shows, for the comedy/news shows like "The News Quiz" and "The Now Show". I usually get the podcast through iTunes.

Once in a while there there might be something that catches my attention, like "Just a Minute" (which is currently running), and "Brain of Britain" (which is also running). but for the most part I stick with the podcast episodes.
