Hello everyone!

I'm T. Baker and I'm in North Carolina.

I've been listening to old-time radio since I was in middle school (in our area that was grades 4-8). That's when I was introduced to it by a teacher playing "War of the Worlds" from a record (yes, an actual record ;)) for the class. Well, many years have since gone by (I'm not saying how many) and throughout my teen and on I've listened to recording of old time radio.

Some of the shows I've listened to are:
Suspense (all episodes)
The Sealed Book (all existing episodes)
Inner Sanctum (all existing episodes)
Box 13 (all episodes)
Ellery Queen
The Strange Doctor Weird
and many more...

Currently I'm listening to:
CBS Radio Mystery Theater (currently on the 1977 season)
The Adventures of Maisie
The Adventures of Superman
5 Minute Mysteries
and I've just downloaded the few existing episodes of Candy Matson that are available.

This has nothing to do with old time radio but I'm also a long-time fan of the show "Doctor Who". I've been watching it since my teens.

My taste are very eclectic so many things can interest me - one day I could be listening to rock music and the next day I could be listening to classical music - just to give an example.

So as you can see I have many interest and you'll learn more about me through my posts here.

So again

Hello everybody!

Welcome to the forum Baker. I'm a huge fan of CBSRMT that is what got me into OTR.

Himan Brown was a genius, after researching Cbs Radio Mystery theater (CBSRMT) I discovered most of the actors in various shows I've listened to have worked for him at some point.

Welcome T. Baker!  And I should say HOWDY, NEIGHBOR!  I'm in Tennessee.  The other end of Tennessee, but Tennessee nonetheless.  :)

And glad to have another Dr. Who fan in the crowd!

Since you're a "Doctor Who" fan are you ready for the new episodes starting this weekend? Season 7 continues on Saturday on BBC America (the same day it airs on BBC in the UK) and on the last Sunday of each month they will be doing the "Doctors Revisited" - a monthly retrospective of each Doctor leading up to the 50th anniversary? This month it's the 3rd Doctor (Jon Pertwee) and an airing of "Spearhead from Space".

I know I'm ready for it! :) :) :)

Oh, that sounds so cool!!  I probably should get caught up with the rest of Season 6 first.  I had to take a break after watching all the Blink and creepy-as-hell angel episodes.  Horror movies don't make me jump the way those jokers did.  WOW!

Hey, T Baker!  Welcome aboard!

I remember my grade 5 teacher playing us Bradbury's  "The Martian Chronicles" by X Minus One, and loving it.  This was Circa 1987, and one of a few introductions to radio drama.

I have just joined and have been listening and collecting  OTR show for 15 years. My favorites are the SciFi, Mystery and Horror show such as X Minus One, The Whistler, Suspense, Escape, Lights Out, and Quiet Please. I also love The Jack Benny Program and The Great Gildersleave.

I wanted to see if any of you ScFi OTR fans can help me identify a show I heard last year on XM's Radio Classics channel. I don't remember the show title or the series. It might have been one of the SciFi anthology series like X-Minus One or Dimension X but I am not sure. Here is a synopsis of the story plot:
Aliens ,who are planning to invade earth, begin instructing small children to assist in their takeover by communicating to them through small plants, i.e flowers. Children all over the world are feed
