I was neat, clean, shaved and sober, and I didn't care who knew it.

A co-worker of mine actually has the mug, and I took pics of it, but they are .jpeg, and this site was only accepting .jpg pics, so I had to go hunt it down.  She's also got the one that moves the TARDIS to the other side of the mug when it gets hot.

And, you're welcome, Barry!

Many years back, probably in the 1990's, my Dad had a business and we'd go to trade shows around NYC. Some of them were for low-end merchandise and we'd skip those, and some were for expensive things and we'd be sure to go because we'd load up on freebies. (You wold not believe how many odd promotional Marvel comics I had, like Spider-Man vs. a cloud of smoke to teach kids about the evils of cigarettes.) Anyway, one of my favorite freebies was a glass with the Doctor Who logo on the front (McCoy era) and the TARDIS  on the back. The cool thing was when you poured in a cold drink the TARDIS disappeared and as it warmed the ship reappeared. To bad it broke a few years later.

I'm still a newbie to the Doctor Who world, but I'm enjoying it quite a bit.

I'm assuming the other Doctor Who fans here have caught that Torchwood is an anagram of Doctor Who.  That was pointed out to me recently....

Just modern Who or have you seen any of the Doctors before Eccleston?

Right now, I've only seen Eccleston, Tennant & Smith.  Haven't got into the older episodes yet.  And it's actually my husband that's been watching them since Season 1 of the re-boot.  I've caught episodes here and there, as I can.  It took a little while for me to figure out what was going on, and then I started to really enjoy it.

Other than the format and pacing, it is remarkable how little the show has changed over the decades.

I walk into the living room this weekend, and my husband has queued up Episode 1 of Season 1 of the re-boot for me.  So I am now officially beginning my Doctor Who trek.  I think eventually, we'll make it to the originals, but I'm enjoying the newer episodes for now.

You're in for a great ride. And one of the best episodes of the whole series is in series 1, simply called "Dalek."

I re-watched the first two series reboots and that episode is just great. I always like the way Rose and the 10th (I think) Doctor worked together (as in Tennant, but he doesn't show up quite yet.)

This show is really a lot of fun.  Because my husband's already watched thru Season 6 (I think), I've seen parts of newer episodes and seen the 3 new Doctors.  Vincent and the Doctor was a GREAT episode and appears to be a fan favorite.  Also, the ones with the Angels ("Blink" I think) is just creepy!  There are a couple of those episodes, and I haven't jumped like that in a long time.  It was awesome.  I'm still just a few episodes into Season 1, but I am thoroughly enjoying it.
