I was a huge Zeppelin fan in the 80's I saw the movie "the song remains the same" at least 20 times in the theater. it started at 11:45 pm and it was like a concert, ppl would get so out of hand the ushers didn't dare come in.

If I had to pick a favorite it would be stairway to heaven.

We're just going to have to agree to disagree because that is totally overrated and overplayed. HOWEVER, if you hear the version on the BBC sessions, that one is really good.

Which version is that? The BBC is a very large entity. I'll agree that it was over played at one time I don't think I have heard it on the radio in while.

Interesting note: The name of the band came from a comment by Jeff Beck who often hired Jimmy Page for session work when Jimmy told Jeff about his plans to start his own band Jeff said "that should go over like a lead balloon"

Stairway for me reminds me of my youth so that has a lot to do with it being my all time favorite song, not just fav Zeppelin song.

I'll have to check but the album was called, I think, The BBC Sessions.

This is it, I think.
http://www.amazon.com/BBC-Sessions-Led-Zeppelin/dp/B000002JEV/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1350015366&sr=8-1&keywords=led+zeppelin+bbc+sessions
The sample doesn't help because the pacing of the song changes later on, if this is the one I think it is.

I'm sure I've heard it and owned it at one time I had everything I could get my hands on including bootlegs from all over the world. How they could have sell out shows in non English speaking countries is beyond me. I had one bootleg from a Japanese concert Robert Plant is going off on the crowd telling them they all look silly and they need to open there eyes wider. Then he tells Jimmy to eff off.

I like shows like that. Though I have never saw one I still think it is possible.

I dont judge ppl that have seen them wrongly. I keep an open mind.

H471: The Headstrong Corpse by CBS Radio Mystery Theater
Listening with my wife... nice and warm and cozy inside on this cold, cold night in Upstate New York. This is a creepy episode, with my favorite sounds of wind and storm.

And just before CBSRMT, listened to Led Zeppelin's "When the Levee Breaks"

Yeah, I love this episode. Something about CBSRMT though..It wouldnt be the same without the background music and EG Marshal's intriguing voice sets the mood. Himan Brown the producer/director was a genius.
