I don't worry about it too much - after all, these songs were top 10 in Japan and millions of fans across the world can't be wrong, ;)
...On the other hand, I do tend to take some things too far - I'll give it a break for a short while, after all, there all other kinds of music I can use - maybe I'll use a lot of '70's disco.  :P

*listens*

I hear the screams already.  :D

Yeah!  Here's one of my favorites:

and, by the way, the drums were later copied for the Italian theme song of a Japanese cartoon (sorry, couldn't find one with a better sound):

both are totally awesome songs  :)

Another couple of great Italian theme songs for old anime:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EvIYKCALoZY

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=whprNO-J7DA    (all these songs featured the best Italian authors and musicians available, in this one the bass part is performed by the best Italian bassist ever, Ares Tavolazzi)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vAzuFlX4XAI

and the most legendary one - over here this is an absolute classic, not just among anime fans, but for everybody:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HZi3l2JHaNQ

and the end song, again with Tavolazzi on bass (awesome, as you can hear, unfortunately this video has very little bass frequencies):

It's from a show called south park a cartoon that is banned in many countries. At the beginning of the show the viewer discretion says  "This show should not be watched by anyone" They get away with a lot.

Oh, I'd argue that!

Just heard this on the radio this weekend and it made me remember how much I liked this song.

Stevie Nicks (with Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers) - Stop Draggin' My Heart Around:

This came from Stevie's first solo album - "Bella Donna"
